Heat Transfer Coefficient

The heat transfer coefficient, defined in Newton's law of cooling, depends on the properties of the fluid and also on fluid velocity. It is usually necessary to evalute it experimentally. The SI unit of heat transfer coefficient is W/(m . K). Other units are:
	1 kW/(m . K) = 1000 W/(m . K)
