Mixing of Two Air Streams


Mixing of two air streams is often used in air conditioning systems, e.g. mixing air from outdoors with air returned from the air conditioned system. The adiabatic mixing of two air streams, A and B will produce a new condition C. The mixing process can be drawn as a straight line ACB on the psychrometric chart.
